About the Family Roots
The Deshpande Family hails form Centarl India, Sindkhed Raja, wellknown for the rich historical heritage. The home town of Jijamata , mother of Maratha King Shivaji Maharaj. The township of Sindked Raja is located about 275 Kms form the 'Orange City" ,Nagpur. Poet Anil joined government service as a Sub Judge at Hoshangabad and later moved to New Delhi as an advisor for Adult Education in India. Kusumavati Deshpande, commonly known as AKKA (elder sister in marathi language) was a favorite professor of English Literature in Morris College, Nagpur. Later she was called in at All India radio, New Delhi to be the Producer for Women & Children's Programmes.....
